Transition Sherwood's 3rd Annual General Meeting will be at 7.20pm on Thursday 29th September, at the Community and Visitor Centre, HM Prison, Nottingham, Hucknall Road entrance. We'll be one of the first community groups using the community centre there. The meeting will include an update on what the group has been doing inthe last year, and an Open Space discussion about next steps.
this is a try-out, thinking about replacing the home page with a blog to make the website more interactive. What do you think?
Transition Sherwood is a group of local people coming together to help our communities become less dependent on fossil fuels, become more resilient, and reduce our impact on the environment. The group started in 2008, with an active group initiating a range of events and projects. This evolved into a smaller group concentrating on two community gardens from 2015.
Updates about local community and environmental events, and national and international climate change and environmental issues are currently shared mainly via our Facebook page.
Transition Sherwood is very pleased to be a member of the Nottingham Growing Network in 2016-17, with funding from the People's Postcode Lottery supporting sharing of skills and resources around a network of growing projects.
The website's title picture is part of a mural in Hood St, Sherwood, painted by local young people in 2008 - signatures below.
