Sherwood Bike Day 28th April 13/04/2012
 Sherwood Bike Day on Saturday April 28th, 12.30 to 3.30pm, will include bike rides and bike maintenance, bikes available on loan for anyone without their own, a variety of information stalls and refreshments. it will take place at Sherwood Methodist Church, corner of Mansfield Road and Devon Drive, NG5 2EN The group is trying to improve safety and support for cycling in Nottingham - please bring your ideas and experience to share. All welcome, bring your bike to be checked before the summer or simply come to find out more and meet other Transition members. Forms asking residents about the Sherwood Area Residential 20mph Speed Limit need to be sent back this week. Let the council know whether you think the proposals would improve safety for cyclists and pedestrians, & which roads you think should or shouldn't be included. The Transition Sherwood Bike Group met early in January. Plans for 2012 include a Bike Day on 28th April including help with bike servicing, a communal bike ride (with loan bikes available), shared lunch, and a “Doctor Bike” session. The group started in 2008, and has members in Sherwood, Carrington, Mapperley, and Arnold, and also has close links with a group in Arnold.
